Those were the last words that David and Kim Hodgin heard from their 9-year-old daughter.
I want to come home!”
On Jan. 29, 2014, Sonya was forcefully and unwillingly removed from the arms of her parents to go more than 700 miles away with a man she had never met. The Department of Children’s Services in Dickson, Tenn., told Sonya’s parents they had five minutes to say goodbye. Literally within minutes, this happy loving family was torn apart.
